The sixth (6th) season in which they played in the National Hockey League, the 1984-85 edition of the Edmonton Oilers saw them enter the year as the defending Stanley Cup champions and play to a record of 49–20–11 with 401 goals for and only 298 against. Led by a group of eight (8) future Hockey Hall of Fame inductees (seven players and a coach) that included Wayne Gretzky, Glenn Anderson, Paul Coffey, Mark Messier, Jari Kurri, Kevin Lowe, Grant Fuhr and Glen Sather, the Oilers would repeat as Stanley Cup champions, defeating the Los Angeles Kings, Winnipeg Jets and Chicago Black Hawks in the process before knocking off the Philadelphia Flyers in the Stanley Cup Finals, losing only three (3) games in the entire playoffs while out scoring their opponents 98–52. Named on June 5, 2017 as the "Greatest NHL Team" ever based on a fan vote as part of the league's centennial celebrations, offered here we present this jersey signed by team members from that memorable squad that were in attendance for a reunion from February 10th through 12th of 2018. A Reebok made garment that displays a size "56" label affixed to the inner collar with an Oilers hologram having been added over top of it, the "Reebok" logo patch that is in place over the reverse neckline has been covered up by an added on "Greatest Team" NHL Centennial patch that displays the league's 100th anniversary and Oilers logos in silver. A pro on-ice style jersey with reinforced elbows and a fight strap on the interior, an NHL logo crest is in place at the bottom of the collar while the front of the jersey is decorated with a familiar Oilers team crest that features embroidered details throughout. Also sporting a special "NHL Greatest Team" commemorative patch over the right breast that is in the shape of the Stanley Cup which also displays the Oilers logo and the years "1984" and "1985", the sleeves and verso have been accented with "85" in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals while "Stanley Cup" is spelt out in single layer blue twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. remaining in excellent condition overall, the front of the jersey has been signed by thirty-two (32) members of that championship team including players, coaches, training, equipment, scouting, public relations and broadcast staff according to the accompanying Oilers LOA, as well as former team owner, Peter Pocklington. With all the signatures having been penned in black marker ink that displays nicely, those that have signed include; Gretzky, Messier, Coffey, Kurri, Fuhr, Anderson, Lowe, Moog, Huddy, Sather and Pocklington along with the rest of the fabled "Boys on the Bus" gang from that magical 1985 championship team.
