2009 New York Yankees Team Signed 24K Gold W.S. Baseball Derek Jeter Steiner COA

$1,499.00

The 2009 New York Yankees headed into the season with a loaded roster and were ready to return to the postseason after they failed to do so during the 2008 season, the first time since 1993 that the Yankees didn’t participate in postseason play. Manager Joe Girardi already had a loaded team with Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, and Johnny Damon, but they acquired outfielder Nick Swisher, signing pitchers C.C. Sabathia and A.J. Burnett, and brought in powerhouse first baseman Mark Teixeira. The Yankees would finish with a record of 103-59, win the American League East, defeat the Minnesota Twins in the American League Divisional Series, and beat the Los Angeles Angels in six games in the American League Championship Series. The Yankees faced the formidable returning World Series Champion Philadelphia Phillies, but even the Ryan Howard and Chase Utley-led Phillies were no match for the Yankee juggernaut, and the Yankees won their 27th World Series in six games.

This presented Official Allan H. Selig Major League baseball is signed by eight members of the 2009 World Series team. The Rawlings baseball is covered in 24 Kt gold and features a “2009 World Series” stamp on the east panel. Manager Joe Girardi signed the sweet spot of the baseball, and Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera signed the south panel. Andy Pettitte and Hall of Famer Derek Jeter signed the north panel of the baseball, with Mark Teixeira, Alex Rodriguez, and Hideki Matsui signing the east panel. The ball was signed by the players with a blue marker. The signed baseball comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ876102) and a COA from Steiner Sports.
