This Rawlings (USA) white panel football proudly showcases over 30 signatures in black fiber-tip marker, scattered across its panels. Among the autographs are those of the 1988 Oklahoma State Cowboys squad, including Hall of Famer Barry Sanders, quarterback (and current Oklahoma State head coach) Mike Gundy, and All-American wide receiver Hart Lee Dykes. This football honors and celebrates what many consider the greatest season in college football history for Barry Sanders. Sanders led the nation by averaging 7.6 yards per carry and over 200 yards per game, rushing for over 300 yards in four separate games. He set astonishing college football records with 2,628 yards rushing, 3,249 total yards, 234 points, 39 touchdowns (37 of which were rushing, another record), five consecutive 200-yard games, and scoring at least two touchdowns in 11 consecutive games. Additionally, he scored at least three touchdowns in nine games and ran for 222 yards with five touchdowns in three quarters during the Holiday Bowl, a performance not included in his season statistics. Sanders’ exceptional performance earned him the Heisman Trophy in 1988, helping the Cowboys achieve a 10-2 record and an 11th place finish in both the AP and Coaches Polls.
