Beautiful 1950's Roy Campanella Pre Accident Signed Baseball PSA DNA COA

MacGregor "Official Little League" ball signed by Hall of Fame catcher Roy Campanella on a side panel. Campanella has inscribed the ball in blue fountain pen "Best Wishes Roy Campanella," with both the salutation and signature grading "7." There is a second blue fountain-pen signature on the ball, that PSA/DNA can't identify. Campanella single-signed baseballs dating from his playing career are perhaps the greatest rarity of post-1950 Hall of Famer single-signed balls due to his tragic accident in 1958 that left him paralyzed for life. We have offered just two 1950s Campanella single-signed balls in the last sixteen years and we have seen probably fewer than six others during that same period. Although this ball is not a true single, it displays beautifully as one, and in that regard offers collectors the next best alternative to its much rarer counterpart. The ball remains in Near Mint condition. This is a high-grade Campanella-signed ball that would be a fine representative example for any advance single-signed Hall of Fame ball collection lacking a Campanella. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
