Beautiful 1954 Boston Red Sox Team Signed Americam League Baseball Beckett COA
Presented here is an Official American League William Harridge baseball signed by 27 members of the 1954 Boston Red Sox. The ’54 edition of the Red Sox, like many of their time, failed to make the playoffs as Ted Williams was limited to just over 100 games. Despite his abbreviated season, the 35 year old Williams was the star of the Red Sox, hitting 29 home runs and slashing an unbelievable .345/.513/.635. 1954 was Lou Boudreau’s final season as the Red Sox manager, and he led them to a fourth place finish in the American League. The Hall of Famers Boudreau and Williams have both signed the sweet spot of this ball. Other signatures include Mickey Owen, Jackie Jensen, Hal Brown, Don Lenhardt, Grady Hatton, Del Wilber, Paul Schreiber, Tom Brewer, Charlie Maxwell, Milt Bolling, Tom Hurd, George Susce, Del Baker, Sammy White, Mel Parnell, Tex Clevenger, Frank Sullivan, Ellis Kinder, Ted Lepcio, Jimmy Piersall, Leo Kiely, Karl Olson, Sam Mele, Billy Goodman, and one unidentified signature. The autographs on this Reach baseball have been written in blue pen. This item comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
