Beautiful 1961 Washington Senators Team Signed Baseball Inaugural Season JSA COA
As the Washington Senators franchise relocated to the Twin Cities in 1961, an expansion version of the team made a seamless entry into the American League. This baseball is autographed by (22) members of that ’61 Senators roster. The medium is an absolutely gorgeous Official American League Harridge ball. The clean and creamy orb is home to blue ballpoint pennings. Includes: Sweet Spot: Vernon (manager) and Hemsley (coach); North Panel: Sturdivant, Dotterer, Hinton, Daley, Case (coach) and Hudson (coach); South Panel: Woodling, O’Connell, Hobaugh, Boak, Donovan and Susce (coach); West Panel: Mathias and Klippstein; East Panel: Long, Tasby, Semproch, Stevens, Mahoney and Green. Note: these signatures were likely gathered during spring training, as Semproch had been acquired from the Los Angeles Dodgers on November 28, 1960 in the Rule 5 Draft but was sold to the Los Angeles Angels on April 7, 1961, three days prior to the season opener. Accompanying is a full photo LOA from JSA.
