Beautiful Mickey Mantle NO. 7 Signed New York Yankees Rookie Jersey Beckett COA
Mickey “The Mick” Mantle made his MLB debut in 1951 for the New York Yankees, sharing the outfield with Yankee great Joe DiMaggio during the latter’s last season. Mantle wore number 7, and had a solid rookie season, batting .267 with 12 home runs and 65 RBIs. Mantle would appear in the first of his 12 World Series appearances, with the Yankees beating the New York Giants in six games.
Presented here is an authentic Mitchell and Ness Cooperstown Collection Yankees throwback jersey. The button-down jersey is gray, with “NEW YORK” appearing across the chest in navy felt. An American League Golden Anniversary patch is located on the left sleeve. The patch was worn by all the teams in the American League to commemorate 50 years of the league’s existence, dating the throwback jersey to Mantle’s rookie year. A Cooperstown Collection manufacturing tag appears on the front left tail of the jersey. A Mitchell and Ness manufacturing tag with a “MADE IN THE USA” flag are located on the inside collar. The number “7” is sewn on the back of the jersey and is in navy felt. Mantle signed his name and inscribed “NO.7” on the front left chest of the jersey. The signed jersey comes with an LOA from Beckett Authentication.
