Coincidentally, the solo shot was also Ortiz’ 2,000th hit as a Red Sox. This is the actual ball Ortiz hit out of Fenway that day and has been mounted in framed display, along with the official dugout scorecard from that game. The Rawlings Official Major League Robert D. Manfred, Jr. baseball shows great game use, with the kind of scuffing and turf marks expected on a game used home run ball. Ortiz has signed the sweet spot in brilliant blue pen, adding “HR 522 PASSES TED”. A Hall of Fame worthy ball commemorating not one, but two, career milestones for David Ortiz. This baseball has MLB Authenticated hologram (JB753659). The scorecard is the actual game used lineup card from that July 1, 2016 game with Ortiz in the cleanup spot of the order. The lineup card has been signed at the bottom by then-Red Sox manager John Farrell in black pen. Ortiz added his signature in black marker on the open column of the Red Sox lineup and inscribed "HR 522 Passes TED." This lineup card comes with an MLB Authenticated hologram. The baseball is mounted in the frame but not damaged in any way. It can come out easily.
