2003 David Ortiz autographed and "Game Use Opening Day" inscribed Boston Red Sox game used professional model hat. This is the first hat which David Ortiz wore in a game as a member of the Red Sox. Classic style done in dark blue with a red and white "B" team logo embroidered on front. "New Era" and size "7 5/8" tags are on the interior band and "34 god Bless you!" is written under the brim in marker. Signed "Game use, Opening Day 03, David Ortiz 34" in silver marker. Ortiz joined the Red Sox for the 2003 season after a rather unremarkable streak of (6) years in Minnesota. He blossomed in Boston and by the following year helped lead them to a long awaited World Series title.
