Derek Jeter Louisville Slugger signature model "P72" bat dating from the 2008 season. Graded GU 8 by PSA/DNA. The bat, which is not cracked, displays evidence of excellent use along its entire length, including numerous ball marks and stitch impressions on all sides of the barrel (ball marks include blue-ink transfers and white-leather scuffs), a weighted batting donut mark, and a light residue of Mota Stick on the handle. Jeter has documented its game-used status by inscribing the bat "Derek Jeter 2008 Game Used" in silver paint pen on the end of the barrel. Jeter is the greatest shortstop in New York Yankees history and one of the few players to be honored with the title of "Captain." During Jeter's celebrated twenty seasons in New York, the Yankees won seven pennants and five World Championships. Like Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, and Mantle before him, Jeter personifies the most recent Yankees dynasty and is one of the most revered players in team history.
