As a teenager, Diego Maradona broke out for the Argentina National Team in 1979. He scored his first competitive goal for Argentina the same year, notching the third goal against Bolivia in a 3-0 win at the 1979 Copa America, Maradona’s first major international tournament. Maradona was near the end of his decorated Argentinos Juniors career in 1979, primed for a brief stay in Buenos Aires with Boca Juniors before his European career began with a move to FC Barcelona. In total, Maradona made 91 appearances for Argentina, scoring 34 goals and winning the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico. Presented here is an Adidas ClimaCool Argentina jersey signed on the front by Maradona in black ink. The jersey is in fine condition with some scattered marks and stains. This item comes with an LOA from JSA (XX48597) for the signature.
