Derek Jeter Game Used Photo Matched Signed 1994 Rookie New York Yankees Jersey

$129,995.00

Hall of Famer had a busy 1994 season as he worked his way up the minor league chain of the New York Yankees. Jeter played for three different teams in the Yankees’ organization in 1994 before his big-league debut in May of 1995. The first stop was for high single A Tampa Yankees of the Florida State League, where Jeter appeared in 69 games as he batted a lofty. 329 average that earned him a move up to AA and eventually AAA by season’s end and being named Minor League Player of the Year by Baseball America, The Sporting News, USA Today and Topps/NAPBL.

Jeter wore this road gray size 46 Tampa Yankees road button-down jersey during the 1994 season. This jersey was manufactured by Speedline Athletic Wear and features “YANKEES” sewn on in block letters across the chest in navy and white tackle twill. Jeter’s number “31” is sewn on the back in the same navy blue and white tackle twill. The sleeves are modeled after the New York Yankees with navy/white/navy stripes in a ribbed material on the ends. The right sleeve has the Florida State League 75th Anniversary patch sewn on. The front of the jersey has Velcro between the second and third buttons and the Speedline Athletic Wear tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail. Jeter has signed this jersey in black marker on the front and inscribed “Minor League Player of the Year 1994”. A great early-career game from the newly elected member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and the Yankees’ all-time hits leader. This jersey comes with a LOA from the Tampa Yankees signed by Jeter stating that this jersey was worn by Jeter. This jersey also comes with a LOA from Resolution Photomatching (426430), who have photo matched this jersey to a 1994 image taken at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Florida. There is also a LOA from JSA (BB68478) for Jeter's signature and inscriptions on the jersey. For reference a later Jeter jersey that he wore in Triple A sold for $157,000.
