Play Misty for Me is a 1971 American psychological thriller film, directed by and starring Clint Eastwood, in his directorial debut. Jessica Walter and Donna Mills co-star. The original music score was composed by Dee Barton. In the film, Eastwood plays the role of a radio disc jockey being stalked by an obsessed female fan. The film was a critical and financial success, with Walter earning praise for her first major film role.

Offered is an original very large 24 x 33.5″ photo mounted on thick poster board. Cint signed an inscribed "To Johnny Play Something Hip For Me 1984". The signature was signed in red marker. This photo was out of a scene from Play Misty For Me. Clint played Dave Garver radio disc jockey who broadcasts nightly from a studio in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.

This photo was given to DJ Johnny Adams from Clint Eastwood. 

Johnny Adams was a Jazz DJ and played all Jazz Classics from Billy Holiday to Frank Sinatra. When Clint Eastwood made his directorial debut and starred in the movie “Play Misty For Me” in 1971 that was exclusively on the Monterey Peninsula and at a radio station in KRML in Carmel. Johnny tutored Clint on the nuances of being a Disc- Jockey. They became friends and Clint later gave Johnny a “bit” part.

In the Charlie Parker movie, “Bird” Clint has mentioned that his inspiration to make the movie ” Play Misty For Me”  was based on the life of Johnny Adams. Comes with full letter PSA DNA COA.
