JOHN WAYNE SINGLE SIGNED OFFICIAL PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE BASEBALL – WITH INCREDIBLE GAME-DAY PROVENANCE FROM MLB CATCHER CHUCK BRINKMAN

Offered here is a truly remarkable piece of Americana — a single signed baseball by legendary actor John Wayne, with direct provenance to former Major League Baseball catcher Chuck Brinkman (Chicago White Sox, Pittsburgh Pirates).

In 1970, while Brinkman was catching for the Tucson Toros, the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, John Wayne visited the team while filming his movie “Rio Lobo” in Tucson. Wayne was invited to throw out the ceremonial first pitch that day — and Brinkman was the catcher behind the plate.

After catching Wayne’s pitch, Brinkman asked him to sign the baseball, and Wayne graciously obliged. The Duke then joined the team in the dugout, where he spent much of the game enjoying the action and chatting with players. The Tucson Citizen, the local newspaper, covered the event with photos and a story featuring Wayne in the Toros’ dugout — copies of which remain with Brinkman to this day.

This baseball stands out as one of the most authentic and well-documented John Wayne signed baseballs known, featuring direct provenance from the player who caught Wayne’s first pitch.

Comes with full letter JSA Certificate Of Authenticity.

A one-of-a-kind piece that perfectly bridges Hollywood legend and America’s pastime — a true collector’s treasure.
