1930's J. Edgar Hoover Single Signed Baseball.
A compelling crossover piece for advanced autograph and baseball collectors, this J. Edgar Hoover single signed baseball places one of the twentieth century's most recognizable American law enforcement figures directly on the game's central stage. Hoover, who led the Bureau of Investigation and FBI from 1924 until his death in 1972, signs the sweet spot in EX black ink, giving the ball strong display presence with moderate overall toning. The autograph is presented on an Official National League (Frick) baseball which was produced from 1936 to 1940. The FBI Director was known to be an avid fan of baseball, and was in attendance at the 1937 MLB All-star game along with President Franklin Roosevelt and Babe Ruth. A distinctive and very scarce non-player autograph prize; this is the first J. Edgar Hoover single signed baseball we have offered. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
