Displayed is a Joe DiMaggio signed page (PSA/DNA MINT 9) cut from a book or magazine most likely issued in late 1940 or early 1941, before the upcoming 1941 season when the Hall of Fame center fielder would set his still-unbroken record of hitting in 56 consecutive games. The offered page is numbered "88" and it measures approx. 6x9". The top of the page reads, "JOE DIMAGGIO, Outfield...NEW YORK." There is a black-and-white photo of DiMaggio following through on his swing. There is also a short write-up of the Yankee Clipper, focusing on what he did "last season," winning the batting championship "again" with a .352 average. That occurred in 1940. On the other side of the DiMaggio page is page "87," which provides detailed statistics on the 1940 Cleveland Indians.
Joltin' Joe signed the page in blue fountain ink, mostly to the viewing right of his photo, although some of his broad, extended letter "J" in his first name extends onto his photo. The page exhibits some slight darkening, with some minor wear in the top right corner. Aside from the aforementioned imperfections, the page is in excellent condition. The signed page has been encapsulated and PSA/DNA CERTIFIED "MINT 9."
