"Major League" Movie Cast Signed Tom Berenger Cleveland Indians Jersey JSA COA

$1,995.00

The 1989 sports comedy film “Major League” featured a fictionalized version of the Cleveland Indians baseball team and grossed $75 million worldwide. The plot of the film centered around the possible relocation of the Indians to Miami and the new owner purposely putting together a team of misfits to sink attendance and kick in a clause that would allow the team to move to Miami. The rag-tag group of cast-offs turn the season around, and the Indians tie the New York Yankees for the lead of the American League East, leading to a one-game playoff where the Indians win in dramatic fashion and save the team from relocation. Five years later in 1994, the sequel Major League II arrived in theatres with most of the original cast intact, offering similar laughs and the Indians this time winning the American League to reach the World Series.

This presented six-button 1987 authentic Cleveland Indians Tom Berenger jersey features “INDIANS” across the front in navy-on-red tackle twill. A Chief Wahoo patch is located on the left sleeve, and the right sleeve features a navy embroidered “RAWLINGS” logo. An Action Tailored Rawlings “The MARK OF A PRO” manufacturing tag is located on the inside collar of the jersey. A white swatch with “1 87” embroidered in navy is affixed to the inside collar. “BERENGER” is featured across the back in navy-on-red tackle twill on a matching white nameplate. The jersey is signed on the back in black marker by 11 cast members of the Major League cast, with Tom Berenger signing and inscribing “#7 Jake Taylor”, Charlie Sheen signed and inscribed #99 Wild Thing”, Dennis Haysbert signed and inscribed “#13 Cerrano”, Corbin Bernsen signed and inscribed “#24 Dorn”, Steve Yeager signed and inscribed “#8 Temple”, James Gammon signed and inscribed “Lou Brown #34”, Omar Epps signed and inscribed “WILLIE”, David Keith signed and inscribed “PARKMAN #15” and many more. The jersey displays excellent use, with dirt stains on the back, shoulders, and front of the jersey. It is very possible this jersey was the actual jersey used in the movie. The jersey comes with an LOA from JSA.
