Mint Mickey Mantle Signed 1951 New York Yankees Rookie Game Model Jersey JSA COA

Sold out

Offered here is a New York Yankees jersey signed by Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle. Mickey Mantle debuted with the Yankees in 1951 as a 19-year-old, five-tool blue-chipper out of Commerce, Oklahoma. His .267 B.A., 13 H.R., and 65 R.B.I. in 96 games showed promise but didn’t confirm the predictions of greatness. That would come later. That first Mantle season – the 50th of the American League – remains vivid in the minds of many veteran baseball fans. This cotton-flannel Yankees throwback jersey venerates the glory and promise that 1951 - and Mickey Mantle – begat.

This presented five-button Mitchell & Ness flannel New York Yankees jersey is cream with navy pinstripes. The interlocking “N.Y.” logo appears in navy felt on the left chest. A Mitchell & Ness “Cooperstown Collection” tag rests on the left front tail. A Mitchell & Ness tag with a “MADE IN U.S.A.” flag appears on the inside collar and features a “Cooperstown Collection” retail tag attached. An “AMERICAN LEAGUE 1901 1950 GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY” patch rests on the left sleeve. The number “7” appears on the back of the jersey in navy felt. Mantle signed his name in bold blue marker under the “N.Y.” on the front of the jersey. The signature is beautiful and clear. The item comes with a LOA from JSA (XX17359) for the signature.
