Game 6, won by the Mets 6-5, is best remembered for first baseman Bill Buckner's error in the bottom of the 10th inning on a slow roller by Wilson that allowed the Mets' winning run to score. The Mets' victory forced a deciding Game 7, which the Mets won 8-5.
