One of the first expansion teams, the New York Mets entered the MLB in 1962 to replace the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants, two teams that moved to California. The franchise got off to a rough start but caught their footing during the “Miracle Mets” 1969 season that saw the Mets win the World Series for the first time. The Mets would win the World Series again in 1986. Presented here is a This signed white-and-blue pinstriped, six-button Mets home jersey signed by eight Mets legends and Hall of Famers. “Mets” appears across the front of the jersey in blue-on-orange tackle twill. All eight signatures appear on the front of the jersey, with Hall of Fame pitcher Tom Seaver signing the top right chest and former Mets pitcher Tug McGraw signing on the top left. Hall of Fame Mets coach Yogi Berra, Hall of Fame Mets catcher Gary Carter signing and inscribing “#8”, Jay Payton signing and inscribing “#44” and Bubba Trammel signing and inscribing “#33” all on the left chest. Keith Hernandez and Dwight Gooden signed their names on the right front chest of the jersey and all the signatures on this jersey are in blue marker.
