Pittsburgh Pirates legend and National Baseball Hall of Famer Pie Traynor is widely regarded as one of the greatest third basemen in the early days of professional baseball. The two-time All-Star would help lead the Pirates to a World Series victory in 1925, and in 1948 would be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame and would be the first Third Baseman to do so. Offered is a vintage poster of a 1928 Testimonial Dinner held in Traynor's honor. Pie Traynor has penned his black ink signature across the photograph, along with the inscription "Hearty Greetings to Mrs Gray" and the date "7/7/28." The poster measures 10.5-by-19.5 inches and displays a generally clean manner of appearance, with some minor wear to the corners and edges. Full letter LOA from Beckett for the signature accompanies.
