Rare Hack Wilson Single Signed 1930 National League Baseball PSA DNA & JSA COA

Circa 1930 Hack Wilson Single Signed Baseball. Although just five-foot six inches tall, Wilson tipped the scales at 195 pounds of muscle, with an eighteen inch neck but just size six shoes. One sports writer suggested he was built along the lines of a beer keg, and not wholly unfamiliar with its contents. Sadly, the Hall of Fame slugger's life was cut short by his alcoholism at age forty-eight soon after the close of the Second World War, and a full thirty-one years before Cooperstown came calling. One could point to these factors to explain the scarcity of his autograph in the hobby today, particularly in the single signed baseball format of the offered lot.

We are pleased to offer this Official National League (Heydler) baseball blessed by the great Hack Wilson on a side panel. Rare "Lewis Hack Wilson" full name autograph. A wonderful opportunity to score a single-signed ball from the elusive Hall of Famer. Full LOA from PSA/DNAFull LOA from James Spence Authentication.
