In 1961, the Cincinnati Reds put together one hell of a baseball team. Led by National League MVP Frank Robinson, the Reds lineup featured stars such as Vada Pinson, Gordy Coleman, and Wally Post. Jim O’Toole and Joey Jay anchored a strong pitching staff, and the Reds marched to the National League pennant. Unfortunately, the Reds ran into the “M&M Boys” of the New York Yankees, and fell 4-1 in the World Series.
