The Hall of Fame catcher Yogi Berra has signed the east panel of this baseball, while the 1976 American League MVP Thurman Munson and 1957 AL Rookie of the Year Tony Kubek have signed the panel south of the sweet spot. The signatures have been written in blue ballpoint pen. Written in black pen on the west panel is “Oct 10 1976 Playoff / (3) Yankees vs (7) Royals”. The Yankees lost Game 2 of the 1976 ALCS to the Royals 7-3, although they would go on to win the American League flag after a five-game American League Championship Series.
