Super Bowl XXXVIII played on February 1st, between the New England Patriots and Carolina Panthers in 2004 is considered by modern sportswriters to be one of the most thrilling and well-played Super Bowls in history, with Sports Illustrated writer Peter King calling it “The Greatest Super Bowl of all time.” The New England Patriots entered the Super Bowl after finishing with a 14-2 record and were looking to win their second Super Bowl in three years, meanwhile the Carolina Panthers were making their first-ever Super Bowl on a record of 11-5. The game was scoreless for a Super Bowl record 26:55, until both teams put up a combined 24 points before halftime. Neither team scored during the first and third quarters but put up a combined Super Bowl record of 37 points in the fourth quarter. The game was a nail-biter, coming down to a 41-yard field goal by Patriots kicker Adam Vinatieri with four seconds left in regulation that delivered the Patriots the victory.

Offered here is a signed 2004 Patriots jersey signed by 11 members of the team, including Super Bowl XXXVIII MVP Tom Brady. The authentic Reebok jersey is navy with the number “12” appearing on the front, back, and sleeves in white tackle twill with red and gray trim. The NFL equipment shield is on the on collar, and “PATRIOTS” patch is affixed on the chest above the number “12”.   Each sleeve has the “Elvis” Patriot logo patch, a vertical silver stripe as well as the Reebok logo in white and navy tackle twill. The Reebok manufacturing patch with size “48” is located on the bottom left tail on the front of the jersey. “BRADY” is in white tackle twill on a matching navy nameplate on the back.
