Forty-three members of the perfect-season Dolphins including Pro Football Hall of Famers Don Shula, Larry Little, Bob Griese, Nick Buoniconti, Larry Csonka, Jim Langer and fellow stars Manny Fernandez, Dick Anderson, Vern Den Herder, Mercury Morris, Earl Morrall, Marlin Briscoe, Paul Warfield, and Bob Kuechenberg have penned their orange ink signatures across the entirety of the helmet (43 signatures). The 1972 Dolphins are regarded as one of the greatest NFL teams of all-time, and are the last team to go undefeated in a full NFL season.
